This design was created from inspirational works of Adolphe Appia and his use of, Dynamic three dimensional movements by actors, Perpendicular scenery, and Using depth and the horizontal dynamics of the performance space.

The design for a furniture piece has inspiration from the sculptures created by Dale Chihuly. His ability to create natural and organic shapes with glass brings my ideas of incorporating a petal floral pattern to furniture.

The design is focused on the Idea of story telling and how the cast that becomes an audience creates an environment as well. In the design in the direct center of the stage is where the story will be told. Using broken furniture as props for his story as well as help from the other prisoners. Behind this area is the wall and I tall walk way. This is where the villagers from the outside can hear the story and get intrigued as the story builds. As the story continues until the end of the show the audience grows for the story. Just as he ends the story it is time for his judgement from court the audience he has created sings to him as he leaves.

This design is a simple interior with a few extra fun additions. The First thing to see is the brick wall located downstage right. this is create the feeling it is inside the apartment. the window directly behind it is a open window that connects to a fire escape. This allows for comedic entrances and exits. the roof above will only be truss to create the ability to lower it for the ending of the show has the young couple on the roof looking at the sky thinking of the future.

The design is trying to display that media killed the world of MAD MAX. All that remains is the gateway created by the destroyers of the world.
